According to owner Pol Bogaert, the 'mission' of his award-winning bike shop is to be an "attractive urban bicycle store" with:

"Our store is clean and neat and stocked with product that is as useful and value-filled for everyday cycling as possible," says Pol, "Our selection and special orders help people with many needs, and I try to make our operation effective in delivering satisfaction with little wasted time, effort or materials."
"We succeed when a bike gets used a lot"
Pol chooses which bicycles he carries according to what he's heard people want. Bike Doctor has always been a "city bike store" that can help all levels and types of cyclists. Great attention to city bikes that have it all in one package: light, useful, stylish, and value for the money.

That said, Pol recognizes that "almost any bike is better than no bike." He and the staff are happy to adapt a customer's current bike to suit their needs. "Careful and wise repair analysis can help in many ways to result in effective solutions with less waste, frustration and cost. Fixing what genuinely needs to be fixed is good for all of us."

That's why we guarantee all the work we do for 30 days so quick and easy included adjustments are free for the following month to ensure new parts and reapirs work. New bikes are covered by a one-year New Bike Service Plan which includes a free tune-up to ensure that new parts such as cables, spokes and the drivetrain are settling in with use."

How to "love" your bike
"Loving your bike isn't difficult," says Pol. "It just takes a few moments now and then to keep things running smoothly. Check the tire pressure regularly (borrow our pump); look and listen for abnormalities like loose parts, noise, rubbing, and rattling and ask us what it means; and oil the chain when dry. We are happy to help diagnose or confirm your observations and suggest best options for your own maintenance too"
